Welcome to the first weeks of 21st Century Literacy Skills! Week One - August 25-26
Activity 1
Visit either one of the links below to evaluate your learning style. You can complete one or both. Start with one, and if time remains, you may complete the other. What's Your Learning Style How do I learn best?
-After you complete the inventory, write a brief description of your findings. What kind of learner are you? What suggestions were given to help you? Is this new information to you? Do the results surprise you? You can answer these questions or simply write a reflection based on the results. Just be sure to include the learning style results (what kind of learner you are most like) and how this information can help you.
-Please type your responses in Google docs. Save it as Your Full Name's Learning Style (ex: Joe Smith's Learning Style).
-Share the document with Mrs. Detwiler (bdetwiler@cypanthers.org) and Miss Kitzmiller (mkitzmiller@cypanthers.org).
Activity 2
Complete the information form below to help me learn more about you. Save it to your desktop as username.Student_Information_Form.doc. After you type in all of your responses, drop it into my drop box (BDetwiler). Place it in the appropriate class period.
Read over the district's acceptable use policy. Explain one specific point you think is fair and one you believe is unfair. Be sure to thoroughly defend your thoughts. Post your response to the class blog.
Activity 3-Digital Driver's License
After our Digital Compass activity, you will complete a Digital Driver's License question and answer form. You will use this to show your understanding of technology use. Once you are finished highlighting the answers you think are correct, share the document with Mrs. Detwiler and Miss Kitzmiller.
